الفراشة ذات شكل ورقة الشجر البالية مثال رائع لصنع الله المتقن. اذ يتيح للفراشة شكلها الخارجي الذي يشبه بدقة متناهية شكل ورقة الشجر البالية من تفادي اعدائها. ومع كل هذا الشبه الا ان كل فراشة لها بصمتها الخاصة بها وتختلف عن غيرها.

Many creatures mimic their surroundings to confuse predators. The dead leaf butterfly perfectly mimics a dry, dead leaf. No human artist can match such a rendering in color, precise detail, and suggestion of a dead leaf's crumbling texture. Random mutations, which have no consciousness, intelligence, or purpose because they are unpredictable occurrences, cannot decide on a strategy to protect this insect. But the most important factor is point of reference. Mutations obviously are not entities nor can they see. To achieve such a perfect match between wing and leaf, the leaf would have to be observed before attempting to copy its every detail and texture. Only an intelligent designer who observes a leaf can produce an exact copy. And of the thousands of dead leaf butterflies , no two dead leaf wings are exactly alike yet the flawless detail is consistent in all of them.
